Quilled miniature lady bug box

I learnt this new technique of 3D paper quilling (www.shilpi.com). The kit contained paper quilling strips,a quilling coach. First we need to make tight rolls of the desired coloured paper for the face, hat, body and the bottom half of the lady bug. Then shape it by pressing the layers into a dome shape gently. Apply glue on the inner side of the shape to avoid changing the shape later. Then assemble the lady bug as shown in the picture.

You can cut black paper circles to stick on the upper part of the body.
Do not stick the two halves together. Just place the upper body on the lower such that it can be opened like a box.
It is kept on a memo pad stand. Happy quilling !

Quilled cards

After making a valentine day card for my friend, I received a few requests for quilled greeting cards. So here are some of them that I made in the last month.

The next was a birthday card with different kinds of flowers.

This one is a thank you card with a bunch of flowers in a vase (the photo quality is not good)

I am enjoying this craft a lot and hope you will be back to check out more of my creations : )
